  • Full-time, seasonal; for the right fit, there is potential for a year-round position.

  • Start Date: Spring End Date: Autumn

  • Hours: Up to 36 hours per week, typically Monday-Thursday, 9 hours per day

Job Description:

The successful candidates will be trail crew members on our four-person paid trail maintenance crew, responsible for building, regular maintenance and upkeep of the trails within the Moose Mountain and Prairie Mountain Shoulder trail systems.

Preference is given to candidates with previous building and chainsaw experience. Training will be provided to successful candidates without previous experience. Tools will be provided. The successful candidate must provide their own safety boots and work gloves.

It will be necessary to transport yourself to the mountain for each workday, an approximately 30-minute drive from the Calgary city limit, 15 minutes from Bragg Creek.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a Mountain Biker, and love the sport! (Seriously, you must be a rider)

  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment in all weather conditions

  • Willingness to learn and follow directions

  • Must work well as part of a team as well as individually

  • Must be able to use simple hand tools for trail maintenance purposes

  • First Aid Certification an asset

  • Chainsaw certification and experience an asset

  • Trail creation experience (dirt or wood construction) an asset

Compensation:

  • Starting at $25/hr, but depending on experience (greater assets = higher wage)
