Moose Mountain Trail Day 2009
Grow your Flow early this season and come on out and make history by attending the first ever trail day hosted by the Moose Mountain Bike Trail Society (MMBTS) on Moose Mountain.
Our trails were put to bed in late December last year and the alarm to wake them up is set to chime at 11am on Saturday May the 9th. A new day, a new season and a new beginning.
This is to be MMBTS inaugural physical impact to dirt! Be a part of history, show your support, and help muster the momentum for the best season ever out at Moose Mountain.

With our new relationship with the Alberta Government, we are able to obtain the key (for trail enhancing purposes) to the Moose mountain gated road. Meaning we get early access do buff things up before opening weekend. So call up your riding buddies, procrastinate on all those non-riding things, grab whatever tools you have (shovels, rakes, Pulaskis, Mcleods, hand saws, hammers…etc) and come on out to the Ing’s Mine P-lot for 11 am this Saturday.
We will have leaders to run the show for each trail and plan to work on general maintenance and buffing, ensuring integrity of structures and clearing winter blow down. Trails on the hit list include Pneuma, T-dub, JG on the rocks, SLF, Billy Dog, Toothless and Breakless. Word is that mother nature’s winter blanket is starting to melt away and with warmer temps predicted for the week, at a minimum the trails droppin into the West side of Moose should be ready for some dirt love.

We plan to grow the flow until 4ish and then celebrate the day with a bbq and beverages at the 2km locale. MMBTS will also be selling memberships and kick ass MMBTS T-shirts at the BBQ.

MMBTS was formed by a bunch of riders/builders pickin’ up a storm, hammering hard, pounding laps and talkin’ trails. So you can be sure despite all the meetings and business stuff we would rather be shredding or building than pushing paper and being all PC. So giddyup and team up with MMBTS and help harmonize all the efforts and work from this winter into our trails where they belong.

See you all Saturday!
